Managing Director and founder of TH_NK, Tarek Nseir, has received two prestigious awards in the past month in recognition of his achievements as one of the region's most inspiring young entrepreneurs.
First up were The Journal's annual awards, celebrating the finest talent in the North East business community at a special dinner held recently in the Newcastle upon Tyne Marriot Hotel, which saw Tarek named Young Business Person of the year.
Impressed with how much Tarek had accomplished at such a young age Tarek was the judges' top choice from a shortlist of three, whittled down from 12 of the most successful business people under 30 throughout the region. At just 25 he has built up a highly successful business from scratch rather than inheriting or taking over an existing enterprise. In less than four years TH_NK has grown from a team of three to over 40, with turnover on target to reach £2 million this year and double that in 2007.
Last week saw another high profile award presented to Tarek, when on Thursday 16th November he was presented the David Goldman prize for Business Innovation, an accolade from Newcastle University Business School to celebrate the contribution Tarek has made to the entrepreneurial culture in the region through the success of TH_NK.
This award success follows TH_NK being named the North East's Top Interactive Agency by industry bible, New Media Age, and our success looks set to continue, with recent growth so extensive that we are soon to relocate high profile new 6500 ft2 premises at 55 Degrees North in Newcastle's bustling city centre.
These awards top off what has been a really fantastic year for TH_NK, with significant new business wins meaning we've almost doubled in terms of both profit and turnover. I know it was only possible for me to win them thanks to the talented team I work with, so really I accept these awards on behalf of all of us.
