TH_NK launch 'Crack a Joke' for CBBC

We are proud to launch a brand-new online game for CBBC called ‘Crack a Joke’ as part of a CBBC commission from the @North initiative.

Crack a Joke is targeted at six to twelve year-olds and sits within the Games section of the hugely-successful CBBC website. In the game, children can see, read and listen to a wide range of jokes presented by their favourite CBBC characters including Hacker the dog and Barney from Blue Peter. After a punchline has been delivered, children can award prizes based on their response to the joke. For laugh-out-loud jokes, roses or giant bubbles can be given to presenters. Alternatively, if a child doesn’t find a joke very funny, pranks like rotten tomatoes and custard pies can be thrown to add to the interactive and fun element of the game. To further engage the audience, children can sign in with BBCiD and unlock presenter awards, new pranks and prizes. They can also save their favourite jokes to their ‘Joke Box’ to enjoy time and time again.

The Crack a Joke game that TH_NK have built for CBBC is a fantastic, fun-filled experience that delivers punchlines with high production values. We know that jokes are the social currency of the playground so Crack a Joke will provide kids with the material they need to become the comedy kings of the playground.

Working closely with the Children’s department at the BBC has been fantastic. Crack a Joke allows children to interact with their TV presenters and creates a unique, funny and engaging gaming experience that takes kids’ love of jokes into the digital sphere and will keep them laughing for longer.
