We've just launched a brand-new micro-site for the School of Computing Science at Newcastle University to increase applications from students across the globe.
In the 2007 National Student Survey, Newcastle University was voted one of the top computing science departments for learning resource and stimulating curriculum, so naturally they were looking for a micro-site that reinforced this message and set the School apart from other computing science departments across the UK.
The new site - study.cs.ncl.ac.uk - focuses on the international reputation the School has for teaching and research as well as the world-class opportunities students have after completing their degrees. The creative concept is based around a world map which enables visitors to find out where past students come from and where they are today. The profiles are written by the students themselves to give visitors a real taste of the courses on offer, and more importantly, the potential careers out there.
As well as a fully-integrated online marketing campaign in the UK, we are also advertising on the Google network to target students from India and China in particular.
As a past Newcastle University graduate, this has been a fantastic project to be involved with. It’s great to be able to target national and international students with a fully-integrated online marketing campaign.
