We're delighted to announce that we are now members of The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) - the global organisation that ensures the Internet is reaching its full potential.
As one of few UK-based members, and the first digital agency in the North East to be accepted as a member of this high profile body, we will be collaborating with some of the most influential organisations in the world, such as Adobe, Google, Microsoft and IBM to define new Web standards and guidelines that will ensure the Web's long-term growth and accessibility for all.
This research and development is vitally important for business across the globe, and underpins many of the Web 2.0 advances currently being seen on successful websites allowing more choice and easier access to content for the consumer.
After being accepted as a W3C member, we are now set to form part of specialist 'working groups' whereby individuals will have a voice alongside leading industry experts and W3C's dedicated technical team on the development of new technologies that drive how the Web will accommodate the growing diversity of hardware, software and online audiences.
As these standards become more widely known, many companies are demanding that their online partners consult W3C guidelines in order for them to be considered as an approved supplier. In becoming a W3C member, we are taking this one step further and are not only following these guidelines, but helping to set standards which now inform the whole industry.
With access to knowledge within some of the world's most dynamic organisations, this ambitious commitment will ensure that we are well and truly plugged in to the most cutting-edge advances needed to keep abreast of fast-changing new technologies.
This investment in learning plays a key role in our expansion as it not only provides opportunities for employees to develop their expertise but it also brings benefits to our growing client-base which operates across a diverse range of e-commerce-based industries, from online gambling to banking and shopping.
Being accepted as a member of such a prestigious and influential industry voice is a major achievement for us and another milestone as, along with the ongoing expansion of TH_NK, we continue to find new ways to raise our game and build upon the dynamic services we offer our clients. It is an honour to be working so closely with some of the most experienced and respected developers across the globe and to be playing a part in the evolution of Web 2.0.
