TH_NK has helped to transform Northern Rock’s savings website to make it easier for customers to choose and apply for a savings account that suits their needs.
The new site is powered by a completely new application which allows users to find a savings account with ease and see the effect of their choices in real-time. This is an innovative new service in the financial sector which will ultimately help Northern Rock customers to make informed decisions about their finances and see how much their money could grow at a glance.
Customers who are familiar with the different types of accounts can narrow down their choice quickly with a set of live filters. Those who need a little more help are guided through the process and are offered an extensive range of content in the ‘learn about savings’ section. As well as being able to compare accounts based on the projected interest over a year, users can also add accounts to their ‘shortlist’ to view whenever they visit the site. What’s more, they are further assisted with a range of useful tools such as a budget planner and jargon buster.
The new website is a fantastic tool, developed for our customers, with the aim of improving the whole process of evaluating and applying for a savings account. Research has shown that 66% of people looking for a savings account don’t finalise opening an account for a number of reasons, such as not having a working printer or not posting their application. We’ve listened to our customers to find out what they are looking for on their savings journey, whether it be browsing or buying, and have created a platform where they can search for savings products based on their individual circumstances. We feel the new savings website will significantly improve the savings journey for our customers.
