Expanding our testing team to meet growing business demand

We’re delighted to welcome on board not one, not two, but four talented new test analysts to help fulfill growing business demand. They are Morag Skene, Kirsten Deans, Dhil Hussain and Iain McShane.

Morag Skene, Senior Test Analyst from Washington has joined us from Sage to head up the Testing Team in Newcastle. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the digital industry and finance and accountancy sectors. In her previous role, Morag was responsible for the testing of all web-based technologies and internal systems, where she worked on projects for web portals, web-hosted solutions, intermediary mortgage sites, and product generation systems for 2000+ mortgage and insurance products.

Here at TH_NK we spend a great deal of time testing our websites and digital products to ensure they comply with industry best practice and meet our clients’ exact requirements. I’m really enjoying my new role and couldn’t be happier with the support, hard work and dedication of the team.

24-year-old fitness enthusiast, Dhil Hussain from South Shields also joins the Testing Team in Newcastle. He brings with him a BSc honours in Computer Networking which he completed at Northumbria University as well as four years’ experience working as a systems analyst for Northern Rock, Citibank, and Electronics Data Systems. Whilst at Electronics Data Systems, Dhil was involved in the Ministry of Justice project for UK Prisons Systems where he worked alongside a dedicated team of over 50 people.

Kirsten Deans, 31, has joined us from Northern Rock where she was an in-house test analyst for mortgage applications for over five years. She graduated from St Andrew’s University in 1999 with an MA honours degree in Scottish History and Classical Studies. In her new role, Kirsten is responsible for testing new functionality and enhancements for a wide range of projects such as Northumbria Water and Cleveland Police. When Kirsten isn’t at work, she likes nothing better than watching cheesy martial arts films and cooking up a storm in the kitchen, although she admits, she’s definitely no Jamie Oliver.

Keen snowboarder, Iain McShane, 25 from Chester-Le-Street has also joined the team. After completing a two-year modern apprenticeship working for Capgemini and HMRC on their Child Trust Fund management software, Iain gained an ISEB certificate and was offered a job at TH_NK on his birthday. Iain really is a great asset to the team - but it’s a shame the same couldn’t be said for his jokes.
